The Harley-Davidson® Riding Academy New Rider Course
Begin your journey at your convenience with a 4 hour E-course prior to the beginning of the New Rider Course. Upon payment, you will be sent a link and code for the required E-course. This combined with classroom instruction and plenty of range riding will give you the knowledge and basic skills needed to ride with confidence. What better way to learn, than on a genuine Harley-Davidson Street 500®!
Our team of seasoned instructors certified by both the Motorcycle Safety Foundation and H-D®’s Riding Academy.
To take this course you will need to:
• Know how to ride a bicycle
• Have a valid driver's license, learner's permit, or proof of successful completion of a basic driver's education program
• Have proper protective riding gear: jeans, sturdy over-the-ankle and rubber-soled boots or shoes, full-fingered leather-type gloves, protective eyewear, and 3/4 or full faced D.O.T. approved helmet
All sessions are mandatory, so make sure the class dates you select fits into your schedule.
The New Rider Course cost is $275 (Non-Refundable) per person, which includes the use of the Street 500.

SKILLED RIDER COURSE
Take your riding to an all new level with the Harley-Davidson® Riding Academy Skilled Rider Course. This course was created for experienced riders. It offers advanced tips and techniques that help you own the road.
The course runs 1 - 2 days and is built on the curriculum of the Motorcycle Safety Foundation®
(MSF) Basic Rider Course 2 Suite. It is taught by devoted MSF and H-D® Certified Instructors. It will include an E-Course entitled Street Straties and is expected to take each student 1 - 1/2 hours. Students will expect 8 hours of seat time for this course.
The Skilled Rider Course focuses on improving these skills:
- Control at low speeds
- Risk management
- Limited space maneuvers
- Cornering judgement
- Swerving and stopping quickly on straights and in curves
- Multiple curve maneuvers and surmounting objects
At the end of this course, you'll earn a MSF Basic Rider Course 2 completion card that may qualify you for a discount on motorcycle insurance.
